My New Headshot & Brand Photos

September 4, 2024 Leave a Comment

I’ve been wanting to get headshot and brand photos taken for my blog for a LONG time now… and I finally did it! One of my birthday gifts from my sweet husband was a photoshoot with the talented Jenna Whitmore.

After I booked my photo session with Jenna, I had a call with her later in the week. She really goes ABOVE and beyond with just everything. White desk, check. White background, check. Shiplap wall by big windows, check. She has this adorable studio in the heart of Cottleville, which is a cute little town outside St. Louis that I’ve never visited before. She shares her studio space with another lady that does newborn photos. Her studio had all the fun big lights and she made me feel at ease. Before the photoshoot, I got my hair done at DryBar Salon, my nails done… and then surprisingly, I shopped the outfits from my closet! I also did my own makeup, but I did put on fake lashes for the shoot.

Blue and White Dress with Ric Rac Trim

My favorite colors to wear are blue and white, so I went with those colors with my outfits. I did one dressy look and one preppy casual look for the shoot. I’m currently working on a HUGE blog design rehab and I plan to implement the blue/whites into the color design of my new blog design. I LOVE this photo pictured above with me sitting in a clear chair.

Jenna took a lot of photos of me in the hour+ I spent with her. When I got the online photo album, there were 66 edited photos in there from both outfits. I’m only sharing about 16 photos from the session today, because putting all 66 photos up on here would be a long blog post!

Preppy Casual Outfit

For my second look, I went with more of a ‘preppy casual’ look. The pieces were all shopped from my closet and they’re all from J. Crew. I wore one of their trendy gauzy button down coverups, a blue/white striped tee and kick flare jeans. For the look, we did more photos on the floor and by a ‘faux’ office that she worked up in the corner of her studio next to a white shiplap wall and big windows.

As you all know… I love me a good iced coffee! I decided to bring an iced coffee to the shoot and we used my Java Sok coffee covers for some of the photos. I really enjoyed that coffee after the photo session was over, it was a workout! Ha, ha! She had be doing all kinds of things for the photos! I had such a good experience with Jenna Whitmore that I told her I may need to make this a yearly thing to keep up with some new brand photos! It truly was a great experience and I know I’ll get lots of use out of these photos.

I hope everyone has a wonderful upcoming weekend! Have a great day!!
