Now for today’s Holiday Craftacular blogger, Lauren!

Hi! This is Lauren from Mom Home Guide! I love decorating my home for the seasons — making little changes to my home throughout the year makes everything seem newer and fresher, and it’s also a lot of fun for the kids!

Before I share my Thanksgiving project, I would like to share one of my favorites from last month’s Holiday Craftacular Linky Party: A Textured Jute Pumpkin from Little Bits of Home!

DIY Thanksgiving wooden sign
Now, it’s time for me to share my Thanksgiving craft! Since Thanksgiving is coming up, I decided to make a quick and easy pallet artwork piece for my fireplace mantel! I think this cute wooden sign really gives a nice fall feel to my home’s family room!

The theme of my new pallet artwork are some of the things I am thankful for this season: my home and family, beautiful fall foliage and just nature in general!

Materials:

  • American Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Delicate Pallet
  • Bird Stencil
  • Foam Brush
  • Decorative Wooden Accents
  • Fall Maple Leaves in Autumn Colors
  • Glue Gun

Stenciled Pallet How To:

This is an easy way to make a DIY fall or Thanksgiving wooden sign!
To start out my project, I taped my stencil to my pallet with masking tape. I then applied&nbspAmerican Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Delicate to the pallet with a foam brush. I love the happy yellow color!

The paint was really easy to apply, so stenciling my pallet took no time at all!

Then, all there was left to do was use my glue gun to hot glue my wooden “home” and heart decorative wooden accents and the beautiful autumn maple leaves to the pallet! I adore the mix of reds, yellows and greens on the leaves!

The pallet now has a place of honor on my fireplace mantel. I’ll be sad to take down this autumn pallet art when winter comes … I might just have to make a winter pallet, too!

This wraps up my Thanksgiving pallet craft tutorial! Stop by here tomorrow to see what my friend, Carrie of Curly Crafty Mom, has created to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Now, it is time for you to link up your current fall and Thanksgiving crafts and you’ll have a chance to be featured next month!
