What Wives Wear Link Up #27 – Blazer & Cords Love

November 6, 2014 Leave a Comment

Welcome to the
What Wives Wear Link Up!
Week 27

Blazer-with-Burg-Coords-650x650
Welcome back to another week of What Wives Wear! Can you believe it is November? I hope everyone had a great Halloween… the next big event in our household is my daughters 6th birthday that is this month! We are working on making her room over with a ‘Frozen’ theme and it is going to take all month long… lots of ideas that I need to execute! I have also been enjoying fall, because I finally was able to bring out my cords again… I have several pairs of cords, but my most favorite color is this burgundy pair from Banana Republic Outlet. I also have an identical pair in navy. I styled my entire outfit around these burgundy cords and I plan to style a lot of other outfit ideas around them.

Looking-in-Clutch
A lot of details that I did not think would come into play, did by surprise. For instance, when I rolled up the sleeves on this navy blazer, I noticed the navy/white pinstripe pattern. My shirt has a navy/white pinstripe pattern and when I opened the clutch I remembered it also has a navy/white pinstripe pattern! Isn’t that crazy in a good way?!

Blazer
This blazer is from Banana Republic Outlet, too. I actually passed it up the first time I saw it in the store, even though it was on clearance! The second time I went into the store, it was still on clearance, but my size (S) was sold out! Wah! I HATE when that happens. I tried on the XS and it fit like a glove… so, YAY. I really don’t own a lot of blazers, just this navy one and a white one… but, I love them both. I really want to get a ‘fun’ blazer next, like a fun color or a fun pattern… that is next on my blazer list. 🙂

Close-Up-Hands-Clutch
If you remember my eShakti dress post (see it HERE), you’ll remember A LOT of these accessories from that post. The statement necklace, earrings, snakeskin belt, bracelet and clutch were all used in that post. I love how different these accessories look with a more casual chic look with the cords and blazer.

Here is a flashback from the eShakti dress post.

Side-View
I wore my brown riding boots from Gap Outlet with this outfit. I had navy flats from Charming Charlie that I almost wore, but I really wanted to try a pair of boots with this outfit. I loved the end result.

Close-Up-Necklace-and-Ruffles
I have two tops that have white/navy stripes. This short sleeved one from ON is my favorite, I love the ruffle and button detail on the front. My other white/navy top is from H&M and has buttons on the bottoms of the long sleeves. You can also see my snakeskin belt from J. Crew Outlet, it was on clearance for only $14!! The statement necklace is also from J. Crew Outlet and was on clearance.

Full-VIew-Holding-Clutch
I wore this outfit to church, IHOP (hey, it was my turn to pick and they have the best bowl sized cappuccinos!) and a housewarming party. It was so comfortable, yet I felt dressed up.

Boots-and-Clutch
This inexpensive clutch was from Charming Charlie… It will have to do until I get myself a GiGi clutch! 😉 yeah, I know… NO comparison.
