What Wives Wear Link Up #26 – Fall Whites + Blues and Coral

October 29, 2014 Leave a Comment

Chambray-and-Coral-650x650
Welcome back to another wonderful week of What Wives Wear! I really enjoy this time of the week when I get to see what all of you have been wearing during this time of transitional weather during this moderately warm fall!! Today I am excited to share with you my outfit, because I stepped out of the box and decided to try wearing white skinnies long after Labor Day. And, a little confession… these white skinnies aren’t even pants, they are capris!! Tall boots are great, because you can even get extra use out of your skinny capris right?! Yep! That’s me, getting the most use out of my closet ALL year long! I also paired it with a chambray shirt with a light mid-sleeve sweater over it. And, YEP! The sweater has stripes, of course… and, you’ll see I added some hints of blue to go with the chambray shirt in my nail polish, sapphire ring, necklace and earrings. I am really loving blue, white and coral mixed together!

And, here is the entire outfit… I LOVED how it turned out… and, another confession. I wore this to church! A lot of people wear jeans to church, but I rarely do as I like to dress up for church (unless it is Saturday). For some reason, I feel as though white jeans or even colored jeans look a little more professional or snazzy then just your regular blue jeans. And, don’t you love the white pumpkin I am holding?

Looking-Away-can-see-wedge
Last week I shared my new Gap Outlet riding boots that are flat and easy to chase the kids around in. Well, for church I decided to wear my older (but, not too old) pair of brown boots that have a wedge heel. I just LOVE these boots as the wedge is so comfortable I hardly can tell I am wearing a heel. These boots also spruced up this outfit to make it look a little more church appropriate IMHO.

Face
I decided to layer two necklaces since I had two shirts on… I did a shorter gold chain necklace to go with the collar of the chambray shirt and then a longer blue bubble necklace with the white/coral sweater. I really, really love how they turned out once I got them on. The gold chain necklace has a tortoise shell print to about five of the links, but I didn’t want that part to show with this outfit, so I turned the necklace until that part didn’t show… brilliant, right?

Side-View
I tried tucking in the chambray shirt, but it looked really nice untucked… the blue contrast against the white skinnies and the coral/white sweater worked wonderfully. I even tried tucking in the chambray shirt and the sweater, but I couldn’t find a belt that worked… SO, I left the chambray shirt untucked. I do wish this chambray shirt was a TAD bit longer, but it worked ok.

Close-up-of-bracelets
I put on some Essie blue nail color instead of coral and I am loving the contrast of it with my outfit. It also really makes the beautiful blue sapphire ring that Brian got me before he left for England for work shine out nicely! I wore a couple of bracelets that I have had for awhile, a coral tassel bracelet (I need to get tassel bracelets in more colors!) and a white/gold bracelet.

Full-VIew-Holding-Pumpkin
I really feel as though this is such a fun autumn outfit… especially when I am holding this pumpkin!

Boots-and-Leaves
The tree in our front yard is turning yellow and all of the pretty leaves are falling… perfect for boot selfies!!

This week Dawn Lucy is wearing an oversized, chunky,

knit sweater with fringe.

Who can resist a chunky sweater for this season?

She is wearing hers with denim skinny jeans,

and taupe suede ankle booties.

Tiffany is giving us a fun plaid look with her

plaid mini skirt look.

This skirt is right on trend and she has paired
it with a creme top, and grey tights.

Her accessories include a braided headband, and

a embellished belt.

The black booties have a touch of gold accents,

which is definitely eye catching.
